In this workshop students will explore ways to build characters that can develop in and across scenes.
Participants will create characters than sustain scenes, rather than serve as punch lines, and make characters develop and change without dropping what makes them who they are.
Students will also explore how to find games and patterns in scenes rooted in personal realization and development, rather than story or jokes, and how to turn those developments into a character arc without getting stuck in plot or story.
